Thank you so much for you support!! I got a very late start. I was asked to run, literally, 24 hours before the petitions had to go to the printer. Actually, I had the best showing of a Republican Council candidate on the West Side in at least twenty years - - - I can't find records that go further back. The past two elections had Republican Council candidates getting 18% and 14% respectively. Also, I was running only on the Republican line and often Republicans will run on at least one other line - - - Independence, Conservative, Liberal, etc. You might know that, for example, Giuliani also ran on the Liberal line. This, of course, lets people who can't make themselves pull the (R) lever vote on a different line and there are a lot of New Yorkers just cannot bring themselves to touch the (R) lever. I will be keeping my campaign committee open. I accomplished what I set out to do: break the 20% barrier that Republicans have been hitting their head on in this district for decades.
