Naked DSL was a myth. Or at least that's what the rude service rep told me when I called today to set it up. "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" he told me, condescendingly.
I replied, "Well, I guess we don't have any business to discuss, so I'm going to hang up."
Some more research, and I'm leaning towards Earthlink Cable. They resell local cable internet, but with their own pricing (a bit lower). They also don't require that you have basic cable service, just the wire to your house. Since I don't watch TV, this is a major bonus.
I'll make some calls next week to further investigate.
