So a year ago, while at sea, got an email from
Jen asking if a friend of the farm could use my apartment for a bit, as he had just been hired by
Craft as
Chef de Cuisine and needed to relocate to NYC in a hurry. Not a problem. He stopped by the farm stand Saturday at Union Square, and we set up a Tuesday evening reservation.
My guest was the lovely Alyssa, and when the server came by and said, "James would like to cook for you" we knew it was going to be a memorable meal.
Many courses, paired with wine. I could get used to dining like this. Great food, great conversation. Should tide me over for a few months.
I fly out Thursday night to Dubai to join the Al Areesh again.
