strength of materials

Why this is swimming in my mind this early morning, God only knows.

2nd class year, we've just returned to school from our first sea year, milling
around the classroom. "Attention on deck!" is called out. We all stand, as our
professor, CB Kim, enters the room.

"Seats" he says, and we all sit down.

"This class is Strength of Material. You no get pony, you frail. You get pony,
you frail anyway. Ain't no way you gonna pass this class. HAAAA! Open your
book, page 23. We start now."

I got an A, BTW.
